How do I surrender my pet?
Question
Since we are a small crew, we ask that you call ahead so we can have time to prep. If we do not have room, we will help the best we can to find a place for your pet. We have a small amount of paperwork for you to fill out, but that is it. We thank you from bringing them to Granny Rose.
Answer
Can I see the animals when I stop in?
Question
The cat room is open to the public but the dog kennels are not. If you want to see a dog we ask the you fill out an application then set up a meet & greet.
For our dogs having new faces in the back puts stress on them.
Think of it like some random person walks into your house, I don't know about you but I'd be pretty upset too.
Answer
Do you have dog boarding?
Question
Yes, our dog boarding is only $20 a night.
We require the pup be up to date on all vaccines, including Bordetella and if it's their first stay, please bring the vaccine paperwork from the vet.
If you want to board with us, please call ahead to check for open dates.
If you have a specific food or meds for them, we ask that it is brought with them for their stay, we have everything else covered.
Check out our Dog Boarding page for more info and pricing.

How will I know who is up for adoption?
Question
We post all of our adoptable pets on our website and Facebook.
Answer
When you get an animal in what steps are taken before they can be adopted?
Question
We do a full health and wellness exam of the animal and a temperament test. It takes a full 10 days before they can be moved to adoption.
This allows us to monitor them for sickness and vaccinate if needed. In this time, we do our best to make their stay with us less stressful.
All of our pets are vaccinated and fixed.
