Why This Program Is Critical
Families entering PADS often face an impossible choice: safe shelter or their beloved pet.
The Stevie Project removes that barrier by offering temporary, no-cost care for pets while families focus on stabilizing their lives.
-
48% of domestic violence survivors delay leaving an abuser because they do not want to leave their pets behind.
-
Over 70% of women in domestic violence shelters report their abusers threatened, injured, or killed a pet as a form of control.
-
Less than 20% of homeless shelters nationwide accept pets.
By working together, PADS and Granny Rose can remove one of the biggest barriers to safety and stability: fear of losing a beloved animal.
No grants. No government funding.
Just heroes like you.
Because of your generosity, the Stevie Fund provides complete care for every Stevie Project.
Every dollar stays within the Stevie Project to directly support PADS families and their pets.
