Rent A Dog
Our Rent A Dog program lets approved fosters take one of our shelter dogs out for the day. Whether it's a walk in the park, a coffee date, a lazy day on the couch, or a short adventure, it gives the dogs a break from the shelter, and gives you a furry friend for the day!
Step One
Fill Out a Foster Application
​All participants must complete and be approved through our Foster Application process. This ensures the safety of the dog and gives us important information about you.
Step Two
Pick A Dog
You will have the option to pick from our available dogs to take on your adventure. If it is your first time out, we will go over our program rules and expectations. We ask that the dogs stay with you the entire time you have them out. We also ask that you have & use safe travel, keep the dog in the back seat with a seatbelt or in a crate. We do not allow them in open truck beds.
Step Three
Go On An Adventure
We want our dogs to have fun but not get overwhelmed. Please avoid high stress environments like crowed festivals or off leash dog parks unless you have discussed this with a manager. We can suggest local dog freindly places to vist if you are unfamilar with the area or unsure where to start. Taking photos and videos is a great way to help a dog get adopted. If a dog becomes sick or injured in your care please contact us immediately, contact information will be provided at departure.
Step Four
Bring Them Back To The Shelter
Please return on time. We would love if you shared and tagged us in any pictures you post on social media. When you return we would appreciate if you fill out a field trip log. Filling out a field trip log helps us learn more about our dogs, such as their likes and dislikes.
